Focused, Accelerated OCD Treatment Delivered in a Short-Term, One-on-One Format
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a concentrated form of therapy designed for individuals who require more support than weekly sessions can provide, but do not necessitate residential or inpatient treatment. Our IOP is built around daily one-on-one therapy sessions, enabling individuals to receive highly individualized, evidence-based care without requiring hospitalization or admission to a treatment center. Unlike many traditional IOPs, which are group-based mainly, our model is almost entirely private and therapist-directed.
Most IOPs bring together groups of people and move them through the same curriculum at the same pace. While that approach can be helpful for some, it is not ideal for many people with OCD—especially those with highly specific or sensitive obsessions, shame-based compulsions, or difficulty sharing their symptoms in a group setting.
Our program is intentionally structured so that every session focuses on the needs of one individual at a time. Treatment is tailored to each person’s specific symptoms, values, life circumstances, and recovery goals.
The core of the program is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, the gold-standard, research-supported approach for OCD. Each weekday includes three hours of live therapy, delivered in two 90-minute blocks with a dedicated treatment team. Weekends include one 90-minute session to maintain momentum and continuity. A weekly support group is available as an optional space for connection and shared encouragement, but group participation is not the foundation of the program.
For many people, daily ERP can lead to faster progress than weekly care. The immersive structure helps reduce avoidance, interrupt compulsive patterns, and build confidence through repeated practice with therapist support. Clients often describe the two-week format as “intensive but empowering,” because they are no longer facing OCD alone between sessions—they are actively working on it every single day.
All prospective clients start with a 45-minute consultation with our clinical team. This call enables us to understand your history, your current level of impairment, and what you hope to change. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and make sure the format feels right. If the IOP is not the most appropriate level of care, we will recommend alternatives, including weekly ERP therapy, referrals, or hybrid treatment options.
We collaborate with outpatient providers throughout and after treatment to support continuity of care. Referring clinicians receive updates (with consent) and a discharge summary with recommendations for ongoing therapy, relapse-prevention planning, and next-step resources. Our team is available to discuss appropriateness, symptom presentation, timeline needs, and clinical coordination at any stage of the referral process.
