Healing begins with feeling understood. Lebert Lester III, LPC, NCC, believes that meaningful therapeutic change is built upon authentic relationships, cultural understanding, and evidence-based care. His collaborative approach helps clients explore life’s challenges with curiosity, compassion, and practical strategies that promote long-term emotional well-being.
Lebert earned his Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Connecticut after completing his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications at Morehouse College. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), he combines rigorous clinical training with a deep appreciation for the ways relationships, identity, and community shape mental health.
In addition to his clinical work, Lebert has contributed to research examining race-based stress and trauma through the University of Ottawa’s School of Psychology and the University of Connecticut’s Lab for Culture and Mental Health Disparities. These experiences continue to inform his culturally responsive approach to therapy, helping clients feel seen, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
