Helping Individuals and Families Build Resilience, Strengthen Relationships, and Thrive

Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about the path forward. Debbie Gutfreund believes that healing begins by understanding not only the struggles we face, but also the strengths we already possess. Through compassionate, evidence-based therapy, she helps individuals, adolescents, and families navigate trauma, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and life’s transitions while fostering resilience, hope, and lasting emotional well-being.

Debbie earned her Master of Science in Family Therapy from the University of North Texas after graduating with High Honors from the University of Pennsylvania. She later completed post-baccalaureate coursework through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, further strengthening her understanding of the relationship between mental and physical health. With more than two decades of experience as a family therapist, educator, and mental health writer, Debbie brings both clinical expertise and a thoughtful, holistic perspective to every therapeutic relationship.

Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
