Therapist

I work with children, teens, and adults, helping them navigate challenges such as OCD, PTSD, racial trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My path into counseling began at Morehouse College and the University of Connecticut, where I combined academic study with hands-on experience supporting peers and researching mental health disparities. Those experiences deepened my commitment to creating spaces where clients feel seen, respected, and supported.

In therapy, I take a patient and collaborative approach, focusing on the whole person rather than just symptoms. I draw on evidence-based practices while tailoring each session to the individual’s unique needs and strengths. I recognize that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest steps a person takes, and I honor that effort by meeting clients with empathy, encouragement, and care.

Beyond my clinical work, I’ve been involved in research on racial disparities in clinical trials and on the physical and emotional impacts of illness. These experiences continue to shape my perspective as a therapist and my passion for social justice in mental health. Outside the office, I enjoy writing poetry, listening to music, and reading—interests that keep me grounded and remind me of the many ways people find meaning and resilience in their lives.
