Her collaborative, evidence-based approach creates a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to overcome anxiety, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hartford, graduating Cum Laude and receiving both Dean’s List and President’s Honors List recognition for academic excellence. She has also completed her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Connecticut State University, where she continued to develop advanced clinical skills in evidence-based psychotherapy, family systems, and relational treatment.

Working under the supervision of experienced clinician, Julian Finnegan, LMFT, and the other professionals at the Behavioral Wellness Clinic, Emily has developed extensive experience treating individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders. She is passionate about helping clients regain confidence, reduce anxiety, and reclaim the parts of life that OCD and fear often take away.

Emily has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing OCD and related disorders, utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD. She works collaboratively with clients to reduce compulsions, challenge obsessive fears, and help them return to living meaningful, values-driven lives.

Anxiety & Related Disorders
Emily helps clients better understand anxiety while developing practical coping strategies through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She works with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, panic, perfectionism, social anxiety, and related concerns.

Drawing from her graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy and years of experience supporting children in educational and recreational settings, Emily enjoys helping young people and families strengthen communication, build emotional regulation skills, and navigate developmental and life challenges together.

Her specialized clinical experience treating OCD and anxiety disorders has provided advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), allowing her to confidently support individuals facing intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, perfectionism, and related anxiety presentations.
